Trip conditions
Select the manual conditions that apply. Weather conditions are evaluated automatically and activate their associated Inventory tags.
Condition library
Conditions describe facts about a trip. The associated tag is what connects a condition to Inventory. Rename the condition without breaking your tags, or deliberately change the tag to change what it activates.
Manual conditions appear as trip checkboxes. Weather conditions evaluate forecast data automatically. Core temperature bands can be renamed, retagged, disabled, and have their thresholds adjusted; custom conditions can also be deleted.
Rules
Keep rules small: pick Conditions, an item, and what should happen. A single rule can also set that item's quantity, so you do not need separate rules for “add it” and “how many.” Use Change quantity only when the item is already coming from Clothing, a Standard Pack, tags, or Trip extras.
Exclude wins over Add, and Add wins over Suggest. Manual Trip extras can override Exclude. Manual trip quantities override quantity rules; otherwise the last active rule that sets a quantity for an item wins.
Clothing rules
These stay as the fast baseline for everyday clothing quantities. An active Rule can temporarily override the final quantity for any clothing item without changing this baseline.
Inventory tags
Your master list of known items. Add an item once, manage its tags here, and reuse it in Standard Packs or Trip extras. Items currently used in clothing, this trip, or containers show their locations below.
Work gear / containers
Select any containers needed for this trip. Containers can share items; only items tagged NoDupe are de-duplicated when more than one selected Standard Pack contains the same item.
Standard Packs
Edit the default contents carried in each container. Add from your Inventory for known names and tags, or create a genuinely new item from inside a Standard Pack. Use the NoDupe tag for gear you own only one of, even if it may travel in different containers.
Trip extras & suggestions
Use this only for exceptions. Add something you specifically want on this trip, browse your Inventory, or review suggestions CAPY-CARRY cannot decide for you.
